What is the cost of Spray Polyurethane Foam?
The initial cost of spray foam insulation is more expensive than fiberglass and other forms of insulation. However, the energy savings and reduced health risks will eventually outweigh the initial extra costs.

How can I maintain the Spray Foam Roofing that has been done on my home/building?
Every ten to fifteen years, the roof should be inspected again to check for any cracks. The spray polyurethane foam can easily be refilled if any damage has occurred.

How long does Spray Polyurethane Foam Last?
SPF is an indefinite form of insulation that will last the lifetime of the home.

How is Spray Polyurethane Foam installed?
SPF is installed by spraying between wooden studs in a wall cavity using special equipment. When the SPF is sprayed, it is a liquid. In the next few seconds, it quickly turns to foam. When the liquid to foam process occurs, the foam will expand to up to 100 times its original size which allows it to fill every crack and crevice, making it stick permanently to the wall cavity.

Does spray foam seal a house too tight? Shouldn't attics have ventilation?
Yes, attics should be ventilated. However, the US Department of Energy advises having a tightly sealed home or building and creating ventilation through your air conditioning and heating systems.
